Tragedy in Uttara: F-7 Fighter Jet Crashes into College Campus
In a tragic incident in the Uttara region in the north of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, a Bangladeshi Air Force F-7 BGI type fighter jet crashed into the campus of Milestone College. It was reported that students were present on the campus at the time of the accident.
18 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The Public Relations Office of the Bangladeshi Army confirmed that the plane belonged to the military, and at least 18 people lost their lives in the crash, according to Fire Service official Lima Khan.
CONDITION OF THE INJURED IS CRITICAL
Following the crash, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Approximately 60 individuals were transferred to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Authorities stated that most of the injured were children, with some in critical condition.
CONDOLANCES FROM ADVISOR YUNUS
Bangladesh’s Interim Government Advisor Muhammed Yunus expressed deep sorrow on social media, offering condolences to the families of the deceased. Yunus also announced that an investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash.
